There’s no escaping the ocean at Seascape; the moment you step across the entrance pond and into the partially open fan-and-breeze-cooled living room, the spectacular sea vista commands your attention — as it will do from nearly every room. 

This soaring, double-height, fan-cooled, split-level living room houses a guest kitchen and washroom by the entrance and, down a few steps, a formal seating area with modular sofas, ottomans and stools. Beyond is the dining terrace with seating for 10. To one side is the media room and its attached bathroom — a versatile space that can be left open to the living room – perfect for parties – or closed off for watching films, working (yes, it can happen on holiday), or when set up as the fifth bedroom, featuring a 3-metre-wide circular bed.

Also off the living room is the Cloud Suite with its stunning bathroom and garden terrace (an extension of the dining terrace). Two more guest suites are on the second level — the Boat Suite with its statement sea-view bathtub set behind the super-king bed, and the Triple Suite which offers the flexibility of one to three beds; a welcome feature for families with small kids and nannies, or sharing friends.

An aerial walkway dissecting the double-height living space separates the two upper-floor suites, and gives access on one side to a netting-floored mezzanine suspended above the kitchen. Kids of all ages are likely to convene here to curl up with a book, watch a film or spy on activities below.

The final bedroom is housed on the upper level of the Garden Cottage, set behind the main villa. The only room without a sea view, it has a seating area and separate TV and DVD player and provides a retreat for those seeking extra privacy. Below is the service kitchen.

Seascape’s outdoor living spaces are equally impressive. Alongside the 15-metre pebble-lined swimming pool is a large sun terrace with beanbags and loungers. Opposite is a sail-shaded entertainment terrace with a sleek sit-up bar for alfresco meals. And right on the edge of the beach is another magical space where semi-circular seating curves around a fire-pit.
