Villa Lulito comprises four gleaming white, colonial-style buildings framing a 14-metre swimming pool – three single-storey living pavilions and one double-storey building housing the villa’s four bedrooms.
At one end is the garden pavilion, its timber-panelled walls and white wicker daybeds dedicated to comfort and relaxation. Opposite is another open-fronted pavilion comprising a comfy sitting area on one side and a dining table (ideal for breakfasts and casual lunches) for eight on the other. At the back is a feature kitchen and service counter and behind this is the staff service kitchen. An intimate corner in the garden offers alfresco dining at a circular table for eight.
The main living and dining pavilion runs the length of the pool, fronted by three sets of doors that can be folded open to the pool or closed for air-conditioned comfort. At one end of the pavilion is a formal dining table for 10 , in the centre a deeply cushioned sofa faces the pool and courtyard, and at the far end wicker armchairs and another comfortable sofa are positioned around a large satellite channel TV/DVD player.
Either side of the villa entrance, on the ground floor of the two-storey pavilion, are two air-conditioned guest bedrooms, each one a mirror image of the other, with a magnificent bamboo four-poster bed, a TV and DVD player and a fitted wardrobe. Each has a private bathroom with a walk-in rainshower. Upstairs, a covered balcony runs the length of the building, furnished with plumply cushioned wicker armchairs that look down at the pool. Leading off the balcony is the elegant master bedroom with its grand four-poster bed, TV/DVD player, sizeable dressing room, and a huge air-conditioned bathroom with a freestanding tub for two and a walk-in shower. Accessible from both the balcony and the dressing room is the kids’ room with four custom-built bunk beds and the option of an additional queen-size bed or twin beds (on request and at extra charge). Here, the ensuite bathroom is fitted with a walk-in shower.
