A serene statue of the Buddha greets you as you enter Villa Lilibel, beside which a trickling water feature guides you into the heart of the house where a very spacious living and dining pavilion opens widely onto the garden and pool. At one end of the pavilion a fully equipped kitchen is concealed behind a scarlet-painted partition wall, in front of which five delicately-carved Burmese monks look serenely out over the room from their tall timber plinths. A long wooden dining table for ten occupies the space closest to the kitchen, beyond which the villa’s main living area extends under the soaring ceiling hung by fans. Here, oversized sofas look towards a 65-inch wall-mounted TV and out into the tropical garden. A door from the living area leads into a comfortable air-conditioned TV Room , which, combined with cable TV in every bedroom just about eliminates the possibility of fights breaking out over who’ s going to watch what. Across the garden is an informal space under a pergola-style roof furnished with a second dining table (for 12), brightly coloured seating, and a built-in barbecue, while a peaceful balé pavilion with two large daybeds lies at the top of the garden next to the pool.

Each of Lilibel’s six bedrooms comes with air conditioning, cable TVs and ensuite bathrooms with showers and tubs (no tubs in the twin rooms). Three very spacious king-bedded rooms lie in a two-storey wing that runs perpendicular to the living pavilion. The two upper floor bedrooms, which are accessed from a pleasant furnished wooden walkway that looks down to the gardens and pool, are similar in layout and size, whilst the ground floor master bedroom is easily the most decadent since it comes with its own lounge area, a huge four-poster bed, and a walk-in dressing room. Two further guestrooms - are positioned on the ground floor of a two-storey building on the other side of the living pavilion, near the villa entrance,  each of these can be configured as a king or twin. Another large bedroom is upstairs with king-size bed. The villa also comes equipped with its own spa room and a gym, decked out with Precor equipment, including bench with array of weights, exercise bike and tread mill.
