The contemporary-styled, two-storey Villa Cendrawasih is built in an L-shape on two sides of an 18m swimming pool set within a private walled garden. The living and dining room runs the length of the pool, with floor-to-ceiling folding glass doors onto the garden that can be closed for air-conditioned comfort. This expansive room is furnished with a dining table for ten, sofas, ottomans and a coffee table. Adjacent is a kitchen fully equipped with oven, a five-burner gas hob and numerous modern appliances.

Next to the sitting area, sliding doors open to a TV room, equipped with a 55-inch high-definition satellite channel TV, complete with a hard drive of 250 movies and surround sound. This room can be set up as the fifth bedroom. It is furnished with a large, comfortable sofa bed that converts to either a king-size bed or twin beds, and has an adjoining bathroom. There are four more air-conditioned bedrooms at Villa Cendrawasih, one on the ground floor and three – including the master – on the upper floor. Each features teak wall panels and furnishings, and each has a built-in king-size bed (which converts to twin beds) as well as a dressing area, and a 42-inch satellite-channel TV/ DVD player. All ensuite bathrooms have non-slip granite floors and walk-in overhead rain showers; three have bathtubs. Above the ground floor bedroom, overlooking the pool and garden, is a rooftop terrace furnished with a pair of all-weather daybeds and a scattering of cushions and beanbags.

Next to the swimming pool is a stone deck with a large daybed and a timber sundeck furnished with sunbeds and umbrellas. To the back of the pool deck, the air-conditioned gym is fitted with state-of-the-art professional Life Fitness equipment, including a full range of weights, a bench, multi gym, exercise bike and a step platform, as well as a wall-mounted TV. Adjacent is a shower room.

A door in the garden wall opens to a secret pathway down to Petitenget Beach.
