The Arsana Estate flows down three tiers, connected by stone pathways.  The villa ensures that guests are able to make the most of its location, whether admiring sunsets from the imposing entrance on the hillside to basking in serene valley views from the riverside pool.  The first tier contains four bedroom pavilions, each offering lovely vistas from floor-to-ceiling windows.  Three bedrooms (two kings and a twin that converts to king) all have ensuite baths and showers, TVs and DVD players.  The fourth bedroom (also with it’s own bathroom) is attached to the master suite and has a king bed which can be converted into twins.  This room also has three sets of bunk beds, making it suitable for up to six children and two adults (or for eight children).

On the second tier is the living space.  This grand open-plan area is set at tree-top height with windows and doors that fold back to let in the breeze, aided by overhead fans.  The main room is split into distinct areas: a formal dining space seating 14 is backed by a well-equipped kitchen with pull-up bar stools (there is a further staff kitchen outside) and adjacent to a vine shaded pergola – perfect for a casual breakfast; a formal sitting room where sink-into sofas are backed by a funky bar with prerequisite stools – both set to enjoy the views.  Between is a large airy hall, off which are a games room (billiards, chess table, board games) and a home theatre with flat-screen TV, drop-down projector screen, film library and electronic games.

The third, or lower, tier is where guests are most likely to spend their day, lazing around the 19m infinity pool that stretches off into the jungle.  A cushioned alcove is the perfect retreat from the sun and the ideal spot for a massage, while the bar and barbecue area is just made for casual lunches. A balé is secreted away by the river housing the villa’s well-equipped gym and yoga studio.  The villa’s superb sound system caps things off and, given the design and location, no one will complain if you feel the need to pump up the volume and have a bit of a party.

Moving back up to the top of this gracefully flowing estate, a private, hard-surface tennis court provides an ideal solution for anyone who feels the need to balance holiday indulgences with a little exercise.
